The Hayward SPX2600CKIT is a drive train upgrade kit for the 1/2 HP Super Pump. It takes an older SP1600X series pump and moves its drive train onto the later SP2600X series components.
What you get
Five Hayward parts come in the kit: the SPX2600B diffuser, the SPX2600C impeller, the SPX1600T housing gasket, the SPX1600R diffuser gasket and the SPX2600E seal plate. Between them they make up the path water takes from the strainer through to the discharge.
Why replace them together
A worn impeller and a worn diffuser both cost flow, and swapping one while leaving the other in place gives back only part of the performance. Doing the pair, with fresh gaskets and the seal plate, restores the whole flow path in a single job.
Before you order
Check the pump is a 1/2 HP SP1600X series unit. The source is specific about that series, and other horsepowers in the Super Pump range take their own kit.
