Product details

The Hayward SPX2600CKIT is a drive train upgrade kit for the 1/2 HP Super Pump. It takes an older SP1600X series pump and moves its drive train onto the later SP2600X series components.

What you get

Five Hayward parts come in the kit: the SPX2600B diffuser, the SPX2600C impeller, the SPX1600T housing gasket, the SPX1600R diffuser gasket and the SPX2600E seal plate. Between them they make up the path water takes from the strainer through to the discharge.

Why replace them together

A worn impeller and a worn diffuser both cost flow, and swapping one while leaving the other in place gives back only part of the performance. Doing the pair, with fresh gaskets and the seal plate, restores the whole flow path in a single job.

Before you order

Check the pump is a 1/2 HP SP1600X series unit. The source is specific about that series, and other horsepowers in the Super Pump range take their own kit.

What is in the kit?
Five Hayward parts: diffuser SPX2600B, impeller SPX2600C, housing gasket SPX1600T, diffuser gasket SPX1600R and seal plate SPX2600E.
Which pump is this for?
The 1/2 HP Hayward Super Pump in the older SP1600X series. It upgrades that drive train to the later SP2600X series arrangement.
Why upgrade instead of replacing like for like?
The older SP1600X drive train parts were superseded. This kit moves the pump onto the current SP2600X components in one go, so future replacements come from the parts range that is still current.
Does it include a shaft seal?
The listed contents are the diffuser, impeller, two gaskets and the seal plate. A shaft seal is not among them, so order one separately if you are opening the pump anyway.
