Product details

The Hayward SPX2603Z1VSPE is the power end assembly for the Super Pump variable speed. It is the genuine Hayward part, supplied as a complete assembly.

When a power end is the right buy

A pool pump has two halves. The wet end holds the water and the power end drives it. On a variable speed pump the drive electronics live with the motor, so when the drive fails the whole power end is the service item. If the housing is not cracked and the plumbing is sound, swapping the power end restores the pump for less than a new one costs and leaves the pipe work alone.

Variable speed only

This is not a general Super Pump motor. It is the variable speed version, and a single speed Super Pump takes a different part. Read the model and part number off the pump label before ordering, because the two are not interchangeable.
