Product details

The Hayward SP1500UNPAK2 is a two pack of female union end connectors. Two is the usual count for a pump, one on the suction side and one on the discharge side.

Where it is listed

Hayward carries this pack under more than one product. It appears in the Matrix pump listing and in the Power-Flo LX pump parts, and it also shows up in the parts breakdowns for the CL200, CL220 and CL220BR chlorine feeders. Compare the connector you are removing against the pack before ordering so you know it matches.

Why they get replaced

Union connectors are the joints you break every time the pump comes apart. Threads gall, the sealing face gets nicked, and eventually the union weeps no matter how hard it is tightened. Replacing both at once is cheaper than chasing a drip on one side and then the other.
