Product details

The Hayward SPX1515C is the strainer housing C-clip used on the Power-Flo family of pool pumps. It is the genuine Hayward part, molded in plastic like the original.

What it does

The clip secures the strainer housing on the pump. It is one of the small pieces nobody thinks about until it cracks, and then the housing no longer sits tight, which is exactly where air leaks and lost prime tend to begin. Replacing a broken clip is a minutes long job that saves chasing a suction leak around the whole pad.

Fitment

Hayward lists this clip on the Power-Flo LX SP1580 series and on the Power-Flo II and III 1700 and 1700UN series parts diagrams. It also appears under Power-Flo SP1500 series parts, so match your pump model plate against both listings before you order.

The clip is supplied on its own. The strainer housing itself and the strainer basket are separate Hayward parts.
