The Hayward SPX1500LH is the high performance 1 HP impeller for the Power-Flo LX pump. Hayward lists it for model SP1520UN LX only, so the model number on the pump label is the thing to check before ordering.

What a worn impeller costs you

The impeller is what actually moves the water. When the vanes wear thin, chip, or pack with debris, the pump still primes and still sounds normal, but the returns go soft and the filter gauge sits lower than it used to. Owners often chase the filter or the suction line first, and the impeller is the part that was quietly failing.

While the pump is open

The shaft seal is directly behind the impeller. Getting to the impeller is most of the work in the job, so replacing the seal at the same time is cheap insurance against doing the teardown twice.
