The Pentair 523037 is the 120 watt replacement UV lamp for the residential BioShield UV disinfection sterilizer, model 522637. It is the genuine Pentair lamp.

Why lamps get changed on a schedule

A UV lamp keeps glowing long after its germicidal output has dropped, so a BioShield that looks like it is working may not be delivering the dose it was designed for. Replacing the lamp on the interval Pentair recommends keeps the system effective.

BioShield lamps come in several wattages and they are not interchangeable. This 120 watt lamp is for the 522637. The 522635 uses a 50 watt high output lamp and larger units use a 150 watt lamp, so confirm the model number on your unit before ordering.
