⌄The Pool Buoy from Shade Science is an umbrella that floats. Drop it in at least 30 in of water and it stands up on its own, with no anchor, no deck mount and no hardware. This is the Shoreline Grey version, part PB-16011-SG.
How it stays up
A 6 lb weight hangs below the float and works like a sailboat keel. When wind or a lean pushes the canopy to one side, the weight pulls it back upright. It is more stable than it looks, and it drifts along with you rather than staying pinned to one spot.
Shade and drinks
The canopy is 5 ft 7 in across, UV resistant and adjustable so you can angle it as the sun moves. Five cup holders are built into the base.
Setup
It assembles by hand with no tools, and works in pools, hot tubs and lakes, anywhere the water is calm and at least 30 in deep.
