The Unicel FS-3053 is the full replacement grid set for the Sta-Rite System 3 S8D110 DE filter. It contains all thirteen grids the tank takes: three FG-3916, two each of FG-3011, FG-3015 and FG-3016, and four FG-3019.
Why replace the whole set
DE grids are fabric over a frame, and the fabric is what holds the powder that does the filtering. Once the cloth thins, tears at a seam or pulls away from the frame, DE blows straight through into the pool and pressure never settles where it should. Because every grid in a tank has done the same hours, changing one at a time tends to be a series of return trips.
What is included
Grids only. The manifold, standpipe, tank o-ring and clamp are separate parts, so inspect them while the tank is open and order anything that looks tired at the same time.
If your filter is the smaller System 3 S7D75, it takes an eleven grid set instead of this one.
