Commercial ADA Pool Lifts

78 products

Every lift here is one the manufacturer states meets the 2010 ADA Standards: 300 lb or more, a seat that stops 16 to 19 in. above the deck and submerges 18 in., a footrest that moves with the seat, and controls a swimmer can work alone from the deck and from the water. What separates them is the deck. Measure the setback from the anchor point to the pool edge and the drop from the deck to the water, then pick by capacity, and by whether the anchor is in the box.

About Commercial ADA Pool Lifts

A commercial buyer needs four documents with the lift, and each product page carries them: the spec sheet, the owner's manual, the manufacturer's deck profile sheet or application chart, and the warranty. Tax exempt checkout and NET 30 terms for facilities go through the quote drawer on every lift page. California installations need the CEC compliant battery system on S.R. Smith lifts, and those pages say so.

By manufacturer: S.R. Smith, Aqua Creek, Global Pool Products, Spectrum Aquatics and Aquatic Access. Lifts that need no deck anchor are on portable lifts; lifts for a raised spa or a gutter pool are on above ground and spa lifts. The parent page is pool lifts.

Questions about Commercial ADA Pool Lifts

Which pools have to have a pool lift?

Hotels, clubs, fitness centers, apartment pools opened to the public, municipal and school pools: any pool a business or a government runs for the public. A community pool limited to residents and guests is not covered unless it is rented out or hosts the public.

What does an inspector check on an ADA pool lift?

Capacity of at least 300 lb, a seat 16 in. wide that stops 16 to 19 in. above the deck and goes 18 in. under the water, a footrest that moves with the seat, a clear deck space of 36 by 48 in. on the dry side, controls that work with 5 lb of force, and that a swimmer can call the lift from the water without help.

Is there a tax credit for buying a pool lift?

Often. A small business, one with 30 or fewer employees or revenue of a million or less, can take the Disabled Access Credit for half of what it spends on access equipment, and any business can deduct barrier removal costs under Section 190. Neither applies to new construction. Your accountant has the current limits.

What is the weight limit on an ADA pool lift?

The standard sets a floor, not a ceiling: a lift has to carry 300 lb and hold one and a half times that standing still. The models here run from 300 lb on the S.R. Smith aXs2 and PAL2 to 600 lb on the Aqua Creek Mighty 600, with 350 to 450 lb the usual choice for a public pool. Pick the rating for the heaviest rider you expect, with room to spare, not the minimum.
