Spectrum Aquatics Pool Lifts

5 products

Spectrum's lifts are chosen by power source and by load. The battery lifts, the Motion Trek BP350 and Aqua Buddy V2 at 350 lb and the Traveler BP500 at 500 lb, are rated at around 90 trips per charge at full load. The Gallatin WP 400 runs on water pressure for a pool or spa where nobody wants to manage a battery. All are built for municipal, school, club and therapy pools in stainless steel.

About Spectrum Aquatics Pool Lifts

The Traveler BP500 turns a full circle under power, reaches 6 to 33 in. back, comes with two watertight wireless remotes and carries the heaviest load of the lifts here. The Motion Trek BP350 is sold with its anchor in standard and Deluxe versions, and the Aqua Buddy V2 is UL Listed with a seat that reverses in the field. Spectrum's newer battery lifts carry its ergonomic seat with handholds and drain channels. The Gallatin WP 400 needs a water supply and an anchor, preset for new concrete or retrofit for an existing deck.

Spare batteries and chargers and anchors for other brands are filed by the lift they fit. Other manufacturers: S.R. Smith, Aqua Creek, Global Pool Products and Aquatic Access. The parent page is pool lifts.

Questions about Spectrum Aquatics Pool Lifts

Motion Trek or Aqua Buddy, which Spectrum lift fits my deck?

Compare your setback and water draft. The Motion Trek BP350 works with the anchor 6 to 28 in. back from the pool wall and the water up to 13 in. below the deck. The Aqua Buddy V2 covers a narrower setback, 9 to 23 in., but a deeper draft of 15 in. Both lift 350 lb and come with their anchor, and the Motion Trek also comes as a Deluxe version.

Can a stainless steel pool lift be used on a salt water pool?

It can, with care. Spectrum builds its lifts from electropolished 304L stainless with a protective coating and offers 316L versions for salt water. On any pool, rinse the lift with fresh water rather than pool water, never use a pressure washer, and cover it when the pool is closed, because salt and chlorine left on the steel are what start corrosion.

How do I change the battery in a Spectrum pool lift remote?

The wireless remote runs on a CR2032 coin cell that lasts about two years. After fitting the new cell, the remote has to be paired with the receiver again before it works, and Spectrum's instructions cover the steps. If the remote dies during a session, the receiver carries an emergency rocker switch that runs the lift from the deck.

What maintenance does a Spectrum pool lift battery need?

Charge it every day, even when it is off the lift, and coat the battery contacts with dielectric grease every week, since corroded contacts are a common cause of a lift that will not move. Plan on a new battery after 500 to 800 charges or three to four years, which works out to roughly 20,000 lifts.
