Product details

The S.R. Smith 66-209-3123 is the Olympian aluminum diving board in the 12 ft length, finished in Marine Blue. S.R. Smith makes the Olympian for heavy duty service, and it is used on commercial and residential pools alike.

Construction

The board is an epoxy and welded beam aluminum extrusion with welded ends, a design meant to stand up to heavy use for years. A non-slip sand tread covers the walking surface for footing when the board is wet. The weight limit is 250 lb, with one person on the board at a time. S.R. Smith also makes the Olympian in 10, 14 and 16 ft lengths and in white.

Mounting

The 12 ft board is 18 in. wide and has two 19/32 in. mounting holes, 12 in. apart and 4 in. in from the deck end. S.R. Smith's commercial board instructions use the 18 in. commercial mounting kit, 67-209-903-SS, for 8 ft to 12 ft boards, a fulcrum setting of 62 in., plus or minus 6 in., for a 12 ft board, and 35 to 40 ft-lb on the nuts of aluminum boards. Do not over-tighten.

Before you order

S.R. Smith builds its diving boards and related equipment for inground pools only. The board and stand combination has to be installed to S.R. Smith's specifications, and the pool must meet the minimum water envelope set by the applicable ANSI/APSP/ICC standard for residential or public pools, or local rules where those are stricter. The board ships by freight.

What is the weight limit?
250 lb. S.R. Smith also limits the board to one person at a time.
Does it come with a stand?
No. This part number is the 12 ft Olympian board. It bolts to a separate diving stand, which is installed to that stand's own instructions.
How is it mounted?
Through two 19/32 in. holes set 12 in. apart and 4 in. in from the deck end. S.R. Smith mounts 8 ft to 12 ft boards with its 18 in. commercial mounting kit, 67-209-903-SS, sets the fulcrum 62 in., plus or minus 6 in., from the holes on a 12 ft board, and tightens the nuts on aluminum boards to 35 to 40 ft-lb without over-tightening.
Can it be installed on any pool?
