The S.R. Smith 66-209-586S23 is a 6 ft Frontier II diving board in Pebble. S.R. Smith builds the Frontier II for light to moderate duty residential pools and offers it in 6 ft and 8 ft lengths.

Construction

A fiberglass reinforced core sits inside an acrylic shell with a flexible outer edge and a matte underside, and the top carries a sanded non-slip tread. The board is rated for 250 lb, one person at a time, and has three bolt holes for mounting.

Stand and mounting

S.R. Smith's 1/2 meter Frontier II Jump Stand is made for the 6 ft and 8 ft Frontier II boards and uses a three bolt pattern. Its instructions call for tightening the board mounting nuts to 20 to 25 ft-lb on a fiberglass board and using anti-seize compound on all stainless steel hardware to prevent galling and seizing.

Before you install

S.R. Smith diving boards are for in-ground pools only, and the pool water envelope must meet ANSI/APSP/ICC-5 standards for the board and stand. The board goes at the deep end on the pool centerline, and the required overhang and height above the water depend on the pool type. The board ships by freight.
