The Pleatco PA90 is the 90 sq. ft. replacement cartridge for the Hayward Star-Clear Plus C-900 and the Sta-Rite PXC-95 cartridge filters. It measures 8-15/16 in. across the outside and 17-3/8 in. long, matching the original element.

Check the fit

Cartridge sizes are close enough between models that measuring matters. Compare your old element to the PA90's 8-15/16 in. diameter and 17-3/8 in. length, and confirm your filter is a Star-Clear Plus C-900 or a Sta-Rite PXC-95. Both take a single cartridge, so one PA90 is a full replacement.

Replacing it

Shut the pump down, release pressure, open the filter housing, lift out the old cartridge and set the new one in place. Keep the old element as a spare for cleaning rotation if it still has life in it.
