The M0657USA is the Eco-Matic reverse polarity replacement salt cell, supplied with blades. It covers three system pairs: ESC24 and ESC7000, ESC36 and ESC8000, ESC48 and ESC9000.
Why reverse polarity matters
Salt cells scale. Calcium builds on the plates, insulates them, and output falls. A reverse polarity cell flips the current across the plates on a cycle so that deposits lift and wash away with the flow, which means fewer acid baths and a cell that holds its output longer between services.
Cells are consumable
The plate coating wears out with use. When it does, chlorine production drops even though the salt level, the flow and the water balance all read correctly, and no amount of cleaning brings it back. That is the point at which the cell, not the control box, is replaced.
