Pool Season Algae Control 60 is a 32 oz quart of 60 percent polyquat algaecide, the professional grade concentration. It is non-foaming and non-metallic, and it is effective in preventing green, black and mustard algae.

Where it fits

Because it does not foam and contains no copper, this algaecide is the sensible all-around choice for pools with attached spas and water features, where a foaming or copper-based product would cause suds or stains. Use it on a regular schedule as a preventive, and at the higher label dose when algae is already present.

What is a polyquat algaecide?
Polyquat is a polymer quaternary ammonium compound. At 60 percent strength it is the professional grade version: non-foaming and free of copper, so it will not stain surfaces or foam up a spa or water feature.
Can I use it in a pool with an attached spa?
Yes. Because it does not foam, Algae Control 60 is well suited to pools with attached spas, spillways and water features.
Does it kill algae or just prevent it?
Both. It kills existing green, black and mustard algae and, used on a regular schedule, prevents new growth. Follow the label for the initial and maintenance doses.
Will it stain my pool?
No. It is non-metallic, so there is no copper to leave stains or turn hair green.
