Pool Season stain and scale control is a one quart liquid treatment for two related problems: scale forming out of high calcium water, and staining from dissolved metals.
Scale and metals
Calcium that comes out of solution leaves scale on plaster, tile and inside heater tubes and filters. Iron, copper and manganese do the same thing as stains, and often show up first as green or brown tinted water rather than as marks on the surface. This product works on both, inhibiting scale formation and keeping metals held in the water.
