Four things at once
The formula is a four part blend. A clarifier keeps the water clear, a scale inhibitor stops scale building up, a stain inhibitor targets iron, copper and manganese, and the whole thing is enzyme enhanced. The enzymes work on organics all winter, which is what prevents the waterline ring, helps filter performance and lets sanitizer work more efficiently.
Why it matters at opening
A pool that sits untreated for months gives you the worst possible spring: a ring around the tile, stained surfaces and water that takes a week to clear. Handling organics and metals over the closed season is far less work than fixing the results in April.
How to use it
Insert the blue piercing tool into the large center hole and press firmly against a hard surface until the plastic is punched through. Remove the tool and place the pill in the pool. It floats and dispenses on its own for the rest of the season.
