Regal Algaecide 60 is a 60 percent polyquat algaecide supplied in a one quart bottle. Polyquat is the algaecide class most owners reach for when they want prevention without metals and without foam.
Where it fits
Because the formula is non-foaming, it suits pools with attached spas, spillovers and water features, where an aerating surface turns a foaming algaecide into a visible problem. Because it is non-metallic, it will not add copper to the water, so it sidesteps the staining that metal based products can cause on plaster and fiberglass.
