How it works with your sanitizer

Chlorine added to a pool reacts with more than just algae, and a good share of it gets locked into compounds that cannot sanitize. No Mor Problems reacts with the chlorine to unlock and accelerate that killing ability, so it is an algaecide in its own right and a way of getting more out of the sanitizer you are already buying. United Chemical states it prevents all types of algae and bacteria, in every type of pool.

More than an algaecide

The same formula acts as a clarifier and filter aid. United Chemical states that can cut filtration time by up to 50 percent, which shows up on the power bill and in wear on the pump. It also breaks up chloramines, the compounds behind eye burn, skin irritation and the sharp chlorine smell, which the maker says removes the routine need to shock.

How much do I add?

Can I use it in a salt pool?
Yes. United Chemical states it can be used in any pool treated with chlorine or bromine, including salt pools with a chlorine generator, and that it works with other algaecides and ionizers.
Does it kill algae that is already there, or only prevent it?
It is sold as a preventative algaecide, meant to be dosed every time you add chlorine so algae never gets started. United Chemical sells a separate product for treating a pool that is already green.
Is it safe around family and pets?
