⌄The LaMotte ColorQ 2x PRO 7 is a waterproof, Bluetooth equipped handheld photometer for pool and spa water. It measures free chlorine, total chlorine and bromine by DPD, along with pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid, and puts each result on a digital display.
Reads the water so you do not have to
Visual kits ask you to match a faint pink or a shade of yellow against a printed scale. The ColorQ photometer measures the sample directly, which removes that judgment call and the errors that come with poor light or tired eyes at the end of a route.
Reagents and capacity
Free chlorine, total chlorine or bromine, and pH use liquid reagents good for 144 tests per factor. Alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid use the TesTabs tablet method, with 100 tablets supplied for each. When supplies run down, the LaMotte R-2086 refill restocks the kit.
