What phenol red does

Phenol red is the standard indicator for reading pH in pool and spa water. A tablet dissolved in a sample develops a color that is matched against the comparator, which is a quicker and more repeatable read than counting liquid drops.

Who buys this size

A thousand tablets is route quantity. It suits a service company or a commercial operator testing several bodies of water a day, where a small bottle would be gone in a week. The strip packaging means the rest of the pack stays sealed while one strip is in use.
