The Taylor K-2005S is the complete service test kit in its Spanish edition. It covers chlorine and bromine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid, using the DPD method with a high range chlorine test, and it is supplied with 0.75 oz reagent bottles.

Why a complete kit

Individual test strips and single parameter kits tell you one thing at a time, and pool chemistry does not work that way. Alkalinity moves pH, cyanuric acid changes how much free chlorine you actually need, and hardness decides whether the water scales or etches. A complete kit puts every one of those readings in the same case, so a decision is made on the whole picture rather than a single number.

The Spanish edition

The K-2005S is the same complete kit with Spanish labeling and instructions, which matters on a crew where the person doing the testing reads Spanish first.

Looking after it

Reagents are consumables with a real shelf life. Date each bottle when you open it, keep the case out of the sun and the trunk heat, and replace the reagents each season. Aged reagents lose strength quietly and usually read low, which is worse than not testing at all because the reading looks plausible.
