Why FAS-DPD

Most quick chlorine tests ask you to match a color to a printed block, which gets vague at the high end and vague again in poor light. FAS-DPD instead counts drops of titrant until the sample turns, so the result is a number you counted rather than a shade you judged. That is why service techs and anyone chasing chlorine carefully use it.

Buying the refill

This is the reagent alone, in the large 32 oz size, for topping up a kit that is otherwise complete. Reagents do not last forever, so replace them on a sensible cycle and store them out of heat and sunlight.
