Product details

Taylor R-0004-E is the Phenol Red #4 pH indicator solution in a 16 ounce bottle. It is the reagent that gives you the pH reading when you test pool or spa water with a Taylor kit.

Why the big bottle

The vials inside a test kit are sized for one season of light use. Anyone testing several times a week, or testing more than one body of water, gets through them fast. The 16 ounce bottle is the refill size, so you top up the kit instead of buying another one.

Fresh reagent, honest reading

Reagents do not last forever. Taylor recommends replacing them each year, because solution that has aged shifts the color it produces and the reading drifts with it. A test kit is only as accurate as the bottle you pour from, and pH is the number the rest of your chemistry leans on.
