Product details

The Solaxx SaltDip is a digital salt reader for pool and spa water. It replaces the guesswork of a color matched strip with a number on a screen, which matters on a salt pool where the generator only makes chlorine properly inside a narrow salt band.

Use is deliberately short. The sample cup is part of the meter, so you dip it, fill it, press the start button, and the reading appears in seconds. There is nothing to pour, time or compare against a chart.

Because it reads the sample electronically there are no strips or reagents to reorder, and no expiry date sitting in the equipment cupboard slowly making your results worse.

Where it earns its keep

Salt drifts as rain dilutes the pool and splash out carries water away, and a cell that is asked to work outside its salt range will report faults and wear faster. Checking salt with a real instrument at each service is the cheap way to protect an expensive cell.
