The Taylor K-2005C-8 is the service complete test kit in the high range version, supplied with 2 oz reagent bottles. It covers alkalinity, bromine and chlorine at high range, DPD, CYA, hardness and pH, which is the full set of readings needed to balance a pool or spa rather than spot check it.
Why liquid DPD
Chlorine is read with liquid DPD, which gives free and total chlorine as a color match instead of a strip reading. The high range version matters after a shock or on a pool that runs a heavy chlorine residual, when a basic kit simply tops out and stops telling you anything useful.
The 2 oz difference
This kit is the same as the K-2005. The only change is reagent volume: 2 oz bottles instead of 0.75 oz. If you test one pool a week the smaller kit is fine, but on a route, or on a pool you test daily, the larger bottles mean far fewer refill orders.
