What is in the box

Why the washers matter
The rubber and recessed plastic washers are not decoration. They cushion the board where the hardware passes through it and spread the clamping load rather than concentrating it on the bolt head, which is what keeps a board from crazing around the mount holes over time. The plastic caps then cover the exposed fastener ends.
When to replace
Diving board hardware lives in splash water and sun. If the rubber washers have gone hard, the caps are missing or the bolts show corrosion, replacing the whole set is quicker and safer than trying to match individual pieces.
