The Unicel C-8610 is a 100 square foot replacement filter cartridge for the Hayward Star-Clear II C-1100. It goes in place of the Hayward OEM element CX1100RE and carries the same open top, open bottom construction with 4-1/16 inch inside diameters at both ends.

Getting the life out of it
Cartridges last longest when they are rinsed properly, soaked when the oils build up, and given time to dry before going back in. Replace rather than clean once the pleats are matted or torn, once the end caps have pulled away, or once a clean cartridge no longer brings the filter pressure back to where it started the season.
