Product details

This is the S.R. Smith 20-197-VB backboard frame, the square frame that carries the acrylic backboard on the commercial Swim N' Dunk poolside basketball game.

What the frame does

The frame is the structural piece between the post and the backboard. It takes the load every time a player pulls on the rim, which is why on a commercial installation it is the part that gets bent or fatigued long before the acrylic panel or the anchor does.

Frame only

The acrylic backboard panel and the goal assembly are separate items and are not included. A facility replacing a damaged frame can usually reuse the existing anchor, post and panel, so check what is actually damaged before ordering more than you need. Confirm the part number on the frame coming off, since more than one backboard configuration has been sold under the Swim N' Dunk name.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Is the acrylic backboard included?
No. This listing is the square backboard frame. The acrylic panel is a separate part.
Which game is it for?
The commercial Swim N Dunk poolside basketball game from S.R. Smith.
What is the part number?
20-197-VB.
How do I confirm it is the right frame?
Check the part number on the frame you are replacing. S.R. Smith has offered more than one backboard configuration, so the game name alone is not enough to go on.
