Product details

This is the S.R. Smith 1-meter steel diving stand, part 70-209-522, sized to accept 10' and 12' boards. It is the tallest of the three sizes in the steel meter stand range, which starts at 1/2 meter.

How it is built

The stand is stainless steel with a powder coated finish. That combination is what lets it live outdoors at a pool edge for years with very little attention, which is why the range is specified for commercial installations that need a strong and durable diving tower. The same construction suits a residential pool where the board sees constant use and a lighter stand would not last.

Sizing the board

Board length is determined by the size and type of pool, not by the stand alone. The 1 meter stand will accept a 10' or a 12' board, and the pool dimensions and local requirements decide which of those is appropriate. Boards are sold separately.

Handrails

S.R. Smith requires handrails on both the 3/4 meter and 1 meter stands. They are not included here and must be ordered separately, so budget for them as part of the installation rather than as an option. Any boards or handrails shown in the product images are there for illustration only.
