Product details

The S.R. Smith 69-209-5888 is the spring assembly for an 8 foot diving board, supplied with the mounting jig. It is the genuine factory part.

Why the jig comes with it

The jig is what gets the anchor pattern right in the deck. It positions the anchors so the assembly lands square and the board ends up centered over the water at the correct standoff. Setting anchors by eye is how a job goes wrong in a way that concrete makes expensive to correct.

What the spring assembly does

It is the piece that mounts to the deck and carries the board, and it is what gives a diving board its action. When it corrodes, wears or works loose in its anchors, the board feels dead or moves in ways it should not, and that is the point at which it gets replaced rather than adjusted.

What is the jig for?
