Product details

The Weathermatic PRF-45-100 combines a stainless steel filter with a 45 PSI pressure regulator on a 1 in. male pipe thread connection.

What it does

Water passes through the stainless filter screen before it reaches the regulator, which holds outlet pressure at 45 PSI. Combining both functions in one fitting protects the zone equipment downstream from debris and from pressure higher than the regulator setting.

Fit and compatibility

The PRF-45-100 connects with a 1 in. male pipe thread, or MPT, fitting and is sold individually as one combination unit, made by Weathermatic.

When to use it

A combination filter and regulator like this is typically installed ahead of drip or micro irrigation equipment, which is more sensitive to debris and to pressure than standard spray heads. Placing the filter and the regulator in one fitting, rather than as two separate parts, keeps the zone connection compact and reduces the number of joints that can leak.
