Product details

The Coolaroo Z 13-CHW4 is a 4 foot cordless wand for operating Coolaroo cordless exterior sun shades.

What it does

A cordless shade has no pull chain hanging down the side. The wand is what you take hold of to raise and lower it, and at 4 feet it reaches a shade mounted above head height without a step ladder.

What is not included

The cordless clutch unit is sold separately. If your shade is chain operated rather than cordless, a wand alone will not work on it, and Coolaroo sells a conversion kit for that, also separately. Coolaroo applies this wand to shades manufactured after January 1, 2014.

One note on the finish

Our records describe this wand as white in one place and cream in another, and we have not guessed at which is right. If the color has to match a wand you already have, ask us before ordering.

What color is the wand?
Our source contradicts itself: one record calls it white and another calls it cream. We have not picked one. Contact us before ordering if the finish has to match an existing wand.
Will it work on my chain operated shade?
Not as it stands. A chain operated shade has to be converted with the Coolaroo conversion kit, which is sold separately, before a wand can operate it.
Does the clutch come with it?
No. Cordless clutch units are sold separately. This listing is the wand only.
Does it fit older Coolaroo shades?
Coolaroo applies this wand to shades manufactured after January 1, 2014. For anything older, check the shade against the current hardware first.
