The Thermacell MRPSR is the red Patio Shield, a cordless, fuel powered mosquito repeller that creates a 15 foot zone of protection on a patio, deck or around an outdoor table.

What it does

The Patio Shield heats a repellent mat to release a scent free repellent into the air around it. There is no spray to apply, no open flame and no smoky candle, and it is DEET free. The active ingredient is d-cis/trans allethrin. Set it in the center of the area, check the view window for the orange glow, and allow about 15 minutes for the zone to form. On a windy day, place it upwind so the repellent carries toward you.

What is included

The box holds the Patio Shield repeller and 12 hours of refills: one fuel cartridge and three repellent mats. Spare mats store inside the unit. A fuel cartridge lasts 12 hours and a repellent mat lasts 4 hours, so the included refills cover three full mats of use.
