Cartridge families run in sizes that look similar on a shelf and are not interchangeable in a tank. Pull the old element, measure the outside diameter and the length, and match them to 10-1/16 and 31-1/8. This is the single cartridge version, so one element fills the filter.
Getting the life out of it
A cartridge is a consumable, but how it is cleaned decides whether it lasts a season or several. Rinse from the top down and work the hose between the pleats so the dirt is pushed out rather than driven in. When rinsing stops bringing the pressure back down, soak the element in a cartridge cleaner overnight. Brushes and pressure washers open up the media and the cartridge stops filtering long before it looks worn out.
