This is the PoolTux Royal solid winter cover sized for a 20' x 40' rectangular inground pool. The cover itself measures 25' x 45', which gives a full 5 ft overlap on every side so it can be anchored properly with water tubes.
How it is built
The material is 5 mil triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams. The hem carries a sewn in polypropylene cord for reinforcement, aluminum grommets sit in each corner, and 2 inch by 12 inch water tube loops are spaced every four feet around the perimeter.
Solid rather than mesh
A solid cover blocks light as well as debris. Without sunlight reaching the water, algae has a much harder time over the closed season, and dirt and leaves stay on top of the cover instead of settling on the floor. The trade off is that rain and snowmelt collect on the surface, so plan on a cover pump.
