Product details

This is the PoolTux ultra premium solid winter cover for a 16 ft by 32 ft rectangular in-ground pool. The cover itself measures 21 ft by 37 ft, giving generous overlap on every side, and it carries a 25 year warranty.

What ultra premium means here

Three things separate this cover from a budget one. The scrim, the woven grid inside the cover that carries all the load, is a commercial grade 14 by 14 count. The coating is 14 mil, the heaviest in the range. And the edges are bound with commercial grade material and thread, which matters because the perimeter is where a winter cover almost always fails first, working against water tubes and wind all season.

Solid, not mesh

A solid cover keeps sunlight off the water entirely, which is what stops algae over the closed months, and it keeps leaves and fine debris out rather than filtering them through. Water pools on top and is pumped off, so plan on a cover pump.

The warranty is the honest summary of the build: 25 years is offered because the cover is meant to be the last one bought for the pool.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

My pool is 16 by 32. Why is the cover 21 by 37?
That is deliberate. The cover is oversized so it laps roughly two and a half feet past the water on every side, which is what water tubes or a cover block sit on to hold it down.
Is this a solid cover or a mesh cover?
Solid. It blocks sunlight and debris entirely, rather than passing water and fine dirt through the way mesh does.
What makes it ultra premium rather than standard?
The build: a commercial grade 14 by 14 scrim count, the heaviest coating in the range at 14 mil, and edges bound with commercial grade material and thread.
What is covered by the warranty?
It carries a 25 year warranty, the longest offered on this cover line.
