Product details

This is the PoolTux Royal solid winter cover for a 24 ft. round above ground pool. The cover measures 28 ft. round, so it carries 4 ft. of overlap, and it is backed by the Royal 10 year warranty.

How it is made

The material is a blue and black triple laminated polyethylene at 5 mil, with heat sealed seams. The edge has a polypropylene cord sewn into it for reinforcement, and aluminum grommets sit every three feet around the perimeter for the cable to pass through.

What comes in the box

A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock down cable are included, so the cover can be drawn tight around the top rail without buying hardware separately.

Solid versus mesh

A solid cover keeps rain, leaf litter and everything else out of the water rather than filtering it through. That is the point of it, and it also means water pools on the surface over the winter. A cover pump takes that weight off the cover, keeps the overlap where it belongs and makes the spring opening far less unpleasant.
