Product details
The PoolTux Emperor is a solid winter cover for a 20'x40' rectangular inground pool. The cover measures 25'x45', which leaves 5 feet of overlap on the deck all the way round for water tubes to sit on.
The material
It is built from 8 mil black on tan triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams. The edges carry a sewn in polypropylene reinforcement, which is where the strain concentrates once the cover is loaded with water and pulled at from every side through the winter. Aluminum grommets are fitted in each corner.
Holding it down
2" x 12" water tube loops run along the edge every four feet, so tubes can be laid continuously rather than leaving gaps for wind to get under. A solid cover works by keeping everything out, which also means it collects rain and needs a cover pump to keep standing water from building up.
