Product details

This is the PoolTux King series solid winter cover for a 27 ft round above ground pool. The cover itself is 31 ft round, and that extra four feet is the overlap that lets the cable pull the cover down tight against the pool wall.

How it is built

The sheet is 8 mil triple laminated polyethylene, silver on one face and black on the other, with heat sealed seams. Solid material means no water or sunlight gets through, which keeps leaves and fine grit out of the pool and slows algae growth over the closed season. Aluminum grommets run the perimeter at three foot spacing.

What comes with it

A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock down cable are packed with the cover, along with the warranty card for the 15 year King coverage.

Worth knowing before you close

Because the cover is solid, rain and snow melt collect on top of it rather than draining through. Plan on a cover pump to keep that water moving off, since standing water is the fastest way to stretch or tear any winter cover.

My pool is 27 ft round. Why is the cover 31 ft?
The extra 4 ft is the overlap. A winter cover has to reach past the pool wall so the cable can pull it snug, so a 27 ft round pool takes a 31 ft round cover.
Is this a solid cover or a mesh cover?
Solid. It blocks water, sunlight and fine debris rather than letting them through, so you will need a cover pump to move rain and melt off the top.
Does it come with a way to hold it down?
Yes. A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock down cable are included, and the aluminum grommets are set every three feet for the cable to pass through.
What does the 15 year warranty cover?
