Product details

This is a complete winter closing bundle for a 30 ft round above ground pool. It pairs a solid Royal winter cover with the hardware and chemicals a closing actually takes, so nothing is missing on the day you drain the lines.

The cover

The cover measures 34' round, which gives a 4 ft overlap past the wall of a 30' pool. It is 5 mil, blue on black, built from triple laminated polyethylene with heat sealed seams. The edge carries a sewn-in polypropylene cord for reinforcement and aluminum grommets every three feet, and it is backed by a 10 year warranty.

What else is in the box

A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock-down cable to pull the cover tight around the pool, a 35k chemical closing kit for treating the water on the way out, a 4' x 8' air pillow, and the warranty card.

The pillow is worth putting in properly. Floated under the center, it sheds water and snow to the edges and gives the ice somewhere to go instead of pushing out on the pool wall.

My pool is 30 feet round. Why is the cover 34 feet?
The extra four feet is the overlap. The cover is cut at 34' round so it hangs a full 4 ft past the wall of a 30' pool, which is what lets the cable pull it tight.
What is in the bundle?
The round winter cover, a deluxe aluminum cable winch, a vinyl coated steel lock-down cable, the warranty card, a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4' x 8' air pillow.
What does the air pillow do?
It floats under the middle of the cover so water and snow run to the edges instead of pooling in the center, and it absorbs the pressure when the water freezes.
