This is the PoolTux Ultra Premium solid winter cover for a 30 ft round above ground pool. The cover measures 34 ft round, which leaves 4 ft of overlap once it is sitting on the water.
The material
It is a solid 14 MIL cover with a commercial grade 14 x 14 scrim count and a heavy coating. The top side carries UV inhibitors so the sun does not chalk it over a long closed season, and the underside is black, which keeps light out of the water. Light is what algae needs, so a solid cover that seals well is the difference between opening to clear water and opening to green.
Edges and hardware
The edges are bound with commercial grade material and thread. A polypropylene cord is sewn into a double stitched hem, and there are two non-rusting aluminum grommets every 3 feet. The vinyl coated steel lock-down cable and the deluxe aluminum cable winch are both included, so the cover can be pulled tight to the pool wall without buying hardware separately.
