Product details

This bundle covers a 30 foot round above ground pool for the winter and packs the pieces that usually get bought separately alongside it. The cover is cut at 34 feet round, which leaves a 4 foot overlap past the wall.

The cover

It is an 8 mil solid sheet, silver on black, triple laminated, with heat sealed seams. Aluminum grommets are set every three feet, so the load of a taut cable is spread around the edge instead of pulling on the sheet.

What else is in the box

A deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock-down cable to hold the cover on, a 35k chemical closing kit, a 4.5 by 15 foot air pillow and the warranty card. The cover carries a 15 year warranty.

Why the pillow matters

The pillow floats in the middle under the cover. When the water freezes it expands against the pillow rather than straight out against the pool wall, and it also keeps rain and melt water running to the edges instead of pooling in the center.
