Product details

The PoolTux BB1220R is an Ultra Premium solid winter cover for a 12'x20' rectangular pool. The cover itself is cut to 17'x25', which is the panel size once the overlap needed to hold it down on the deck is added in.

What Ultra Premium means here

The scrim, the woven layer inside the cover that carries the load, is a commercial grade 14 by 14 count. The coating over it is the heaviest offered on this cover line, and the edges are bound with commercial grade material and thread rather than left as a raw hem, which is normally where a winter cover gives out first.

Solid, not mesh

A solid cover blocks sunlight and keeps rain, leaves and other debris out of the water completely rather than filtering it through, which is what keeps a pool cleaner at opening. The trade off is that water collects on top over the winter, so a cover pump is the usual way to keep it from building up.
