Cleaning
Rinse from the top down and work the water between the pleats so the dirt lifts out instead of being driven deeper. When a rinse no longer brings the filter pressure back to where it started, soak the element in a cartridge cleaner overnight and rinse again. Keep a brush and a pressure washer away from it, since both open the media and quietly end the cartridge life.
