Product details

The Pleatco PSR100-4 is a 100 square foot replacement cartridge for the Sta-Rite Posi-Flo cartridge filters. It is a single cartridge element, so one of these fills the housing.

Fitment

It covers the Posi-Flo 100GPM-TX, 100TX, 100TXR, II PTM100, T-100TX and T-100TXR. The body measures 8-11/16 inches across and 25-11/16 inches long, with both ends open and twelve concentric slots. Measuring the old cartridge is the fastest way to confirm you have the right one, since the Posi-Flo range shares a family look across several sizes.

Getting the life out of it

A cartridge holds its rated flow only while the pleats are open. Rinsing takes the surface dirt off, but oils and scale need a soak. When a soaked and rinsed cartridge still runs high pressure, or the fabric has gone thin and slack where it meets the end caps, it is done and a new element is the fix rather than another cleaning.
