Product details

The Sta-Rite 27002-0200S is the 200 sq ft modular media cartridge element for the System 2 PLM200 filter. It is the genuine part, carried under both the Sta-Rite and Pentair names.

Size

Filter module PLM 200, 13 in. in diameter and 18-3/8 in. tall. The PLM series shares the tank diameter across several sizes and changes the element height, so measure before ordering if you are not certain which model you have.

When to replace

Cartridges are cleaned, not replaced, until cleaning stops working. Once a thorough overnight soak and rinse no longer brings the filter pressure back down to where it started, the media has taken in more than it will give up. Torn pleats, pleats matted flat against each other and separated end caps are the other signals.

What you get from a fresh element

Lower filter pressure, better flow through the whole system, and water that clears faster after a heavy swim or a storm. Two hundred square feet is a lot of media, and a filter running its full area works the pump less hard.
