Gladon SS260 Sure Seam Tape is a 2 in. wide, 180 ft. roll of blue water resistant tape made for one job: joining sections of Gladon Happy Bottom pool pad into a single continuous surface.
Why the seam matters
Happy Bottom pad comes in sections, and those sections have to behave as one sheet once the liner goes over them. Untaped or badly taped seams creep apart as the liner is worked into place and as the pool fills, which leaves ridges and gaps that a swimmer can feel through the liner. Taping the seams properly is what keeps the floor flat.
Using it
Lay the pad sections butted up against each other, keep the surface clean and dry, and run the tape down the full length of each seam. The blue color makes it easy to check your work before the liner goes on.
