Aqua Creek Scout Excel Pool Lift Parts

13 products

The Scout Excel turns a full circle on a rotational base, so it has two drives to check, not one: the 400 mm actuator that lifts and a square drive 24 volt motor in the motor mount that rotates. Most stops are still the battery. A good F-004AB pack reads 24 to 28 volts; after that the F-01TL test light on the F-41CBJ control box's actuator port separates a dead box from a dead HB00-U10 handset. The drawing is Aqua Creek's exploded view with its own item numbers; the parts sold here are listed by catalog number.

About Aqua Creek Scout Excel Pool Lift Parts

The drawing is the product components view from Aqua Creek's Scout Excel owner's manual, badged at the manufacturer's item numbers. Aqua Creek keys its lists by internal inventory numbers rather than catalog numbers, so each badge shows that number for reference and the parts sold here are listed below the drawing under their F catalog numbers. The stock box, item 1, holds the battery, charger, wall bracket, packets, sign and seat belt; the label sheet, item 12, is listed but not drawn, and the footrest carries a question mark on the drawing where the list says item 16.

Sold here for this lift: the F-41CBJ Linak control box with two ports, the HB00-U10 four button hand control, the F-004AB 24 V battery and the F-044CH charger, the F-UBC battery and control box cover, the F-450SSC Scout lift covers in blue, gray and tan, the F-SBGR base gear kit, and the F-808SA standard anchor with the F-824 adapter sleeve for an anchor that is already in the deck. A Scout built on the Vito system takes the F-41CBJV two port control box instead. The F-SLR solar panel suits a lift that lives outside.

The rotational base is why this lift fits decks the Ranger 2 cannot: the manual gives a setback of 7 to 44 in. from the water and a seat that clears a curb or wall up to 27 in. high or a draft of 10 in. The anchor spindle is a 1.90 in. square drive, and the motor mount holds the 24 V DC rotation motor under a color matched cover. The deck questions are covered in which pool lift fits your pool.

Before replacing anything, charge the battery overnight and read it with a meter; a beep is the low charge alarm. Then check the charger at its prongs for at least 27 volts, reseat every cord in the control box and clean the tabs. Aqua Creek's test light, F-01TL, lights from the control box's actuator port when the handset and box are good, which is the step that tells a handset fault from a box fault. The pool lift battery and maintenance guide has the routine, and the annual inspection sheet asks for a look at the rotation gear teeth and motor gear alignment as well.

Spare batteries and chargers, covers and anchors are filed on their own pages. The other Aqua Creek drawing is the Ranger 2; the S.R. Smith drawings are PAL2, Splash!, aXs2 and multiLift2. The lifts themselves are on Aqua Creek pool lifts, and the parent page is Pool lift parts.

Questions about Aqua Creek Scout Excel Pool Lift Parts

Is it the Scout Excel hand control or the control box?

Charge the battery first, since a low pack mimics both. Then plug Aqua Creek's F-01TL test light into the F-41CBJ control box where the actuator cable goes and press the handset buttons. If the light does not come on, swap in a known good HB00-U10 handset; if it lights with the second handset, the first is the fault. If no handset lights it, the box is the suspect, provided the battery reads 24 to 28 volts and its tabs and plugs are clean.

What does the Scout Excel rotation motor do, and can it be replaced on its own?

The rotation motor is a 24 V DC square drive motor bolted into the motor mount at the base, separate from the 400 mm actuator that raises the seat. The manual lists it as its own assembly under a color matched motor cover, so a lift that lifts but will not turn points at the motor, its gear or the anchor spindle rather than the actuator. The annual inspection asks for a check of the rotation gear teeth and the motor gear alignment before anything is swapped.

Which anchor does an Aqua Creek Scout Excel need?

The manual lists four: the F-808SA 1.90 by 6.00 in. anchor with kit, the F-808SA-10 10 in. version, the F-842WDA wood deck anchor and the F-77SSA semi recessed anchor. Each is sold separately and goes into the deck before assembly. If a sleeve from an earlier lift is already in the concrete, the F-824 plastic adapter sleeve lets a Scout sit in it.

How far back from the water can a Scout Excel sit?

Aqua Creek gives a setback range of 7 to 44 in. for the Scout Excel, which is what the rotational base buys you over a fixed lift: the base can sit well behind a wide gutter or a spa bench and still swing the seat out over the water. The seat height adjusts, and the manual rates it for curbs or walls up to 27 in. and water drafts up to 10 in.

Do Scout Excel parts fit the Scout 2?

The covers sold here are listed for both, the F-450SSC in blue, gray and tan, and the F-UBC electronics cover and F-SBGR base gear kit are listed for the Scout series. The control box depends on the electronics the lift was built with: the F-41CBJ for a Linak lift and the F-41CBJV for a Vito lift. The label on the old box and the shape of its plugs settle which one you have.
