Product details

The Coolaroo Z 4-TD is the traditional tie down ring for Coolaroo exterior sun shades.

How it works

The ring slides into the exposed bottom rail of the shade and moves freely along it, so you can set the spacing wherever the anchor points are. Used with anchors, which are not included, it holds the shade in position rather than leaving it free to swing.

Before you order

It can only be used with shades that have an exposed bottom rail. Look at the bottom of your shade first: if the rail is enclosed or hemmed, there is nothing for the ring to slide into.

Do the anchors come with it?
No. The anchors are not included, so plan on sourcing them separately.
Will it fit any Coolaroo shade?
Only shades with an exposed bottom rail. The ring slides into that rail, so a shade without one cannot take it.
Is it fixed in one position?
No. Tie downs slide freely along the bottom rail, so you can set the spacing.
What is it for?
It gives you a point to tie the shade down to an anchor so the shade stays where you set it rather than moving in the wind.
